As a tourist destination, Tunisia is one of the most interesting on the Mediterranean. It’s a land of stark contrasts, where mile-long stretches of desert meet endless sandy beaches. The coexistence of modern culture and exotic surroundings is, to say the least. There are fine and exciting game drives available for wild boar hunting. Miles of forested terrain are interspersed with steep cliffs, ravines and rugged cliffs, winding valleys and wooded gullies. This brings an excitement and satisfaction to the hunt that we rarely experience anywhere else.
In Tunisia, hunting is done with a shotgun and bullets, a good combination in the hands of a good shooter. Shotguns and pellets work surprisingly well for hog hunting, with accuracy up to 60 meters.
Hunting season runs from mid-October to the end of January. Your accommodation will be in a five-star hotel and you will stay in a single room. The hotel is approximately one hour’s drive from Tunis Airport. The distance to the hunting areas ranges from 10 km to 110 km. You travel in a 4WD vehicle (Landcruiser 64) during the safari.
Game areas are divided into “forestry” and game officers not only manage the forests but are also responsible for the game and its growth and development. The game is carefully cared for and care is taken to maintain the appropriate hard hunting pressure. Includes 11-15 drivers and has access to approx. 30 dogs.
On a hunting day, there are about 10 dogs participating. The hunting day starts with a wake-up call and a light breakfast around 5.30-6.00. On the way to the hunting committee – or upon arrival – more food will be provided. Enjoy dinner at the hotel in the evening. For more information, please contact
